What Lies Inside
Almost never are things the way they appear. Yet, even involuntarily our appraisals are based on how they look. Because we are lying on an intricate web that strangles all that who don't follow its norms, and moreover, who has the time to comprehend someone else? When our identities to ourselves are afloat in darkness. When all life isn't enough to understand yourself! So, perhaps to save time, we judge everything by the way they look.
What Lies Inside
What lies inside,
Isn't published so
easy;
For it takes
generations of skill beside,
To steer through
concrete hurt yet freezing.
Love of the wrathful
boy,
Or hatred of the
loving;
All is kept coy,
Secrets unfolded
only when the dead stop breathing.
For Once upon a
time,
Hatred and Ego
indulged in a fight.
'Your existence is a
jest without me' Ego cried.
'I rule you, I fuel
you, yet - let the Gods decide.'
'Your God has left
you long' Hatred smirked.
But the Gods speak
through signs,
'Thou! Hatred! Are
condemned to Earth!'
'Earth you say? It's
my paradise!'
'Look how I control
it. Ha! You are weak like your conjurer.'
With all inquisition
quailed,
Nimbly did he
journey to the land.
Split bizarre like
an old woman's jowl -
It craved for water,
Alas! None heard it growl.
His seeds had
sprouted well through the crowd,
Hatred couldn't
control his laughter loud!
How the fat lady
bulldozed the vendor,
In the name of
bargain; poor slender!
A beggar sat below,
below set eyes,
And how hatefully he
looked at the chintzy lies!
A young lad tossed a
coin at his face
And rushed away;
into the race.
For Him, animals too
were entertainment stock;
People nearby witnessed the monkey fight the dog.
The call for prayer
too,
Was lost to bedlam
skew.
'Your world is not
yours,
Oh mighty God:
behold the chaos!
They've lost what
they hid for long
In their hearts, now
I stand strong!
Hypocrites; Cowards;
are they your devise?'
He simpered 'They
are all - my sinister contrive!'
'They've hid long
enough what they ought to say,
And what's long hid
is lost in dismay.
Where is your
masterstroke Almighty?'
He whispered
'Perhaps you took me a little lightly'
Silence was all he
received in answer,
But also silenced
was the hurly-burly of His chaotic dancers.
All around, stood
quiet, every soul,
As they imbibed in
their God's call.
The monkey no longer
fought the dog wild,
For she had
successfully defended her child.
The young lad
returned with food:
"I meant no
disrespect; I'm sorry for being rude"
The beggar smiled as
a gesture of greet,
Benevolent, a stray
dog, he shared his food with.
And the fat lady had
bargained enough,
To buy her son
chocolates with cashews and nuts.
amazing man!
