When They Go Away

People come and people go, and there's so little we can do trying to stop it. With every fall we realise we are weak and that we stand somewhere down the line. It irks at first, but then it fades away, and so it should.

When they go away

The birds chirp like they do every morning,
The sun peeks through the fog,
You wake up in the morning, everything's same;
But they have gone.
Gone past the clouds, gone past the sun,
Gone into the realm of the unknown;
And you realise all that you had to say,
Only when they go away.

Memories unfold like a flower in the sun,
Oh you'll have them all life long!
The good and the bad you had with them,
Stored safe in the back of your head.
But they have gone.
And they also take away little of your heart,
Little by little it comes apart.
Maybe that is why it doesn't hurt to die old,
But you only wish they'd stayed,
When they go away.

Life is a lie, death is the truth,
Enjoy the lie 'for you hit the truth:
With every person you wish to be,
Unchained of rules and misery,
Till the day they have gone.
Today you suffer, someone else tomorrow;
But the circle of life isn't so hollow,
It offers you everything you imagine and don't!
It's you, you ought to take what it gives,
But only a little of time you crave,
When they go away.

Trees will bend down to your sorrow,
The winds will whisper into their ears,
All the world will moan if you listen,
For they'd loved them, they have gone.
Gone past the blight, gone past the treachery,
Gone into the world where all is pure;
They are wise, they know all that you have to say,
When they go away.
